Facilities for the future.

Charlton Christian College.

The project: Situated in NSW’s Lake Macquarie Area, Charlton Christian College provides quality private education to students from Kindergarten to Year 12. In recent years the College has grown rapidly, and in 2014 they commissioned a major upgrade of their facilities to cater to their new requirements.

The challenge: The Artel team was brought on board to make the College’s new plans a reality – a project that involved constructing a new 1500m2 administration building and a new car park.

The scope: Designed and project managed by Stanton Dahl Architects, the College’s new administration building is a two-storey structure that plays a key function in day-to-day operations. Home to the College’s Student Reception, the building also includes meeting rooms, sickbay, and facilities for administration and teaching staff, School Counsellor and Chaplain.

As well as constructing the administration building, Artel had the major task of constructing a 3300m2 car park located to the west of the site. Before the final layer of asphalt was installed, Artel was required to move 4500m3 of earth to form the sub base of the carpark – an undertaking that required great coordination and precision.

The result: With this inviting new building at its heart, Charlton Christian College has a new focal point that gives visitors a first impression that really reflects who they are.

They have worked diligently worked diligently and professionally through a myriad of requests and unforeseen problems and repeatedly demonstrated their commitment to the project offering suggestions and working closely with the project architect and other consultants/engineers.
